Tyrone and I wanted to team up on a topic that is very dear to both of our hearts: mental health.

   I am a SAHM of four beautiful kids and started my own small business in May of 2022. I have been a SAHM for over nine years now, and while I love being a mother more than anything, I also wanted to find something that I loved outside of motherhood. I felt lost in want made me happy for a while, but starting up this little business in the corner of my home has sparked so much joy, and I love that I can still be mommy while my kids watch me build a business that is really meaningful for us. 

   A little bit about me & why mental health is so important to me: I’ve had four children very close together, so I am no stranger to postpartum depression and anxiety. It feels lonely, and I know so many mothers are afraid to speak up for fear of being labeled a “bad mom” or pushing their own needs to the back burner because we feel we should put everyone else’s needs before our own. 

Well, I’m here to say that you matter. Your mental health, your physical health, and your happiness genuinely matter. Please, don’t fear talking to your physician and find a great counselor if you need someone to talk to. I know that having my last child during the pandemic took a significant toll on my mental & physical health, but I’m now getting back to a healthier, happier me, and it feels great.
